Magdeburg-Barleben, December 15, 2025
Every three months, the district administrators of Saxony-Anhalt meet to exchange views on current topics and challenges. On Friday, 12 December, the 119th District Administrators’ Conference of Saxony-Anhalt was held at HORIBA FuelCon in Magdeburg-Barleben.

The district administrators of the state – including Martin Stichnoth (Börde district) – used the conference to further align shared positions, strengthen coordination, and advance dialogue with state and federal policymakers.
As part of the agenda, Dr. Ingo Benecke, Managing Director of HORIBA FuelCon, guided participants through the production facilities and provided fascinating insights into technologies and manufacturing processes related to test solutions for hydrogen and fuel cell systems.
Hydrogen Activities in the State
“I would like to thank the District Administrators’ Conference of Saxony-Anhalt for the trust they placed in HORIBA FuelCon by selecting us as the venue for the 119th conference. I had the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions with the district administrators and to present our company. This also allowed us to address concrete hydrogen-related activities within the state,” said Dr. Ingo Benecke.
Saxony-Anhalt is already home to significant anchor projects, including the Energy Park Bad Lauchstädt as an industrial real-world laboratory for the production, storage, and use of green hydrogen, as well as the H2 Energy Park Blankenburg in the Harz region. These initiatives clearly demonstrate that hydrogen in Saxony-Anhalt is not a vision of the future, but a reality today.
HORIBA FuelCon is pleased to have hosted this important forum and to continue fostering dialogue between politics and technology.
