Greetings from Japan for Veit Pfleger
Magdeburg-Barleben, August 25 2025
In August, HORIBA FuelCon had the honor of welcoming a very special guest to the HORIBA eHUB: 15-year-old Veit Pfleger from Samswegen. Veit is living with a severe, life-limiting illness – and at the same time, he is a passionate fan of Japan.
A Surprise from HORIBA
On the initiative of Carsten Krüger, responsible for Marketing and Communication at HORIBA FuelCon, contact was established with the parent company in Japan. We told our colleagues in Japan about Veit’s condition, and immediately everyone wanted to help,” explains Carsten Krüger.
With great dedication and warmth, employees in Japan folded a total of 1,100 origami cranes for Veit – a traditional symbol of good fortune and longevity. But that was not all: Veit also received a lovingly assembled package including a Japanese manga series, T-shirts, and other surprises.
As a very special highlight, he was sent a heartfelt video message from Japan: employees shared personal words, prayed for him, and wished him strength and happiness.
