Outstanding family-friendly policies: HORIBA FuelCon earns top marks

HORIBA FuelCon has been honored with the title of “Family-Friendly Company” in the Börde district.
This award recognizes employers who actively support their employees in balancing work, family, and caregiving responsibilities. Particularly noteworthy: HORIBA FuelCon is the only manufacturing company among this year’s award recipients. This highlights that flexible and family-friendly working models can be successfully implemented even in technically oriented sectors.

Appreciation for commitment and a modern work culture

Since 2023, the Börde district and the Jobcenter Börde have presented this award to companies that stand out through sustainable measures promoting family-friendliness. In a dynamic working world, such efforts play a crucial role in fostering motivation, satisfaction, and long-term employee retention.

Recognized initiatives by HORIBA FuelCon

The jury particularly highlighted the following measures:

• Childcare subsidies
• Flexible working hours within the flexitime framework
• Opportunities for remote work
• Engagement in social projects such as collecting bottle caps or organizing the “Friends & Family Day”

At the Börde Museum in Burg Ummendorf, Antje Knopf and Max Baunack accepted the award on behalf of HORIBA FuelCon. Other recognized organizations include the municipality of Barleben, the Dürkop dental practice, the Flechtingen Association of Municipalities, the municipality of Hohe Börde, Physiotherapy Kempka, and the town of Wanzleben.
