FuelCon’s automation software TestWork expands to ASAM standards

Facing the increasing requirements of the automotive sector FuelCon AG sets in future on international standards of the Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems (ASAM) for furture software development. Through membership developed and established standards are now available where FuelCon can also participate in further developments.

For more than 20 years the Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems works on their vision to connect all tools of the development process chain and also enable a consistent data exchange. During this time, many industry standards have been developed or refined, which are used by members of the association, mostly international car manufacturers, suppliers and engineering service providers from the automotive industry. FuelCon joins the association since June 2016.

Through the integration of global distributed ASAM standards FuelCon will able to provide an even better connection to the automation software TestWork as protocols, data formats and application programming interfaces (APIs) now comply to common ASAM conformity. This advantage reduces not only the costs of software development at simultaneous increase of benefits but also degrades barriers at integration and maintenance by standardized definitions of customer interfaces. FuelCon’s automation software TestWork will support ASAM standards as ASAM ASAP3, ASAM CAT ODS or ASAM COMMON MDF at future projects whereby the data acquisition, storage, test planning as well as data validation carried out according to defined standards.

Further information about ASAM and used standards are available at www.asam.net.
